Miroir au mercure "rocaille" Napoléon III

Maison Lecan présente ce miroir au mercure d’époque Napoléon III (vers 1860-1880), en bois et stuc doré, orné d’un élégant fronton.

De style Rocaille, il se distingue par un décor foisonnant de rinceaux fleuris, feuillages et volutes finement sculptés, caractéristique du goût Second Empire qui revisite les codes baroques et Louis XV. Le fronton central, richement travaillé, apporte un mouvement théâtral et une présence décorative forte.

La glace au mercure, d’origine, reflète avec une vibration et une profondeur uniques. Le dos panneauté en planches de bois atteste de son authenticité.
